My first project was this $2 Book Cradle:
First I cleaned, sanded, and primed it. I used a can of white primer that the builder had left for us when we built the house.
Then I painted it black with the can of Glidden Black Onyx that I had previously used for this project.
Here is the finished product and I am quite pleased:
It has found a home under my favorite Ansel Adams print in my office. Hopefully someday soon I will have a big, comfy reading chair also in this corner. There's nothing I love more than curling up in a cozy chair with a good book!
My second project was the small chest that I had acquired for free on someone's curb:
I did not prime this piece. All it took was 2 coats of Glidden Pineapple which I had leftover from the Painted Patio Furniture Party.
The only thing missing are the knobs. I decided rather than put back on the original wooden knobs, that I would keep my eye out for either glass knobs or maybe something in red.
