I am not a photographer. I do not understand apertures, f-stops, or exposure. I do not own a fancy camera.
I do, however, like to take photographs. Here is a little recap of what my family was doing during the year Two Thousand Nine.
In JANUARY we watched Lizzie’s dance coach get proposed to on the jumbotron at the Cleveland Cavs game. Awwwww!
In FEBRUARY my daughter competed in yet another cheerleading competition. She’s been doing that for 6 years.
In MARCH we spent a cold, relaxing 5 days in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We’re going back again this year. I sure hope it’s a bit warmer this time around.
APRIL was a visit to the Newport Aquarium and the wonderful city of Cincinnati.
We set off on foot in the month of MAY to explore the local university. I love living in a college town.
In JUNE we visited the Lake Erie shore at Fairport Harbor.
JULY is the annual family reunion for my husband’s family. We always look forward to fun family time and out-of-town guests. Here’s a couple of cute Cousins enjoying their time together.
AUGUST was time for a road trip to visit family in Philadelphia. Why yes, that is the home of Betsy Ross.
SEPTEMBER….don-don-don. The month I celebrated my 40th birthday. What better way to celebrate than with matching tattoos with my sister?
OCTOBER was the month that my husband and I went apple-pickin in an orchard for the first time. Yum. I made delicious Apple Butter with these beauties.
November was the month to have fun exploring my cousin’s Ohio farm on Thanksgiving Day.
Oh DECEMBER, December……if it weren’t for the hackin’ cold, you would be my favorite month.
So there you have my 2009…a year in photos. One of my goals for 2010? To get a better camera and improve my photography. I am so grateful to have this blog to capture all of our memories. My scrapbooking is about 2 years behind, so to be able to capture stories, photos, and memories on my blogs was a true blessing in 2009.
Here’s to 2010!

You could make your own 2010 calendar with these pictures, Stephanie! Your pictures are great ~ I am so bad with mine. I only figured out how to shut the flash off last month!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of taking a picture a day. I didn't see all of them in this post because the loaded so slowly on my dumputer but what I saw was lovely.
