Craft Room Inspiration

I have a room in my house that is there for the taking. It is "bedroom #4", or as we affectionately refer to it, "Laura's room". No one is using it. It sits empty, well not really empty as you shall see. It is waiting to become my craft/scrapbooking room. I have dreams and visions of what it will someday become.

Lately I have come across some great inspiration for the renovation of Laura's room. Feast your eyes upon Michelle's studio. It is unique, eclectic, and full of life. I am in love with the old mattress springs in the photo below. You can check out Michelle's awesome studio at Michelle My Belle.

How about this next craft/scrapbooking room belonging to Karen over at Snapshots of a Good Life? I cannot get enough of these photos of her room. Karen is also a gifted photographer, so her photos of this room inspire creativity in me like you wouldn't believe. She has more storage options, supplies, & ideas than I would know what to do with! You must click over and check out her room. You won't believe it until you see it, and you won't be disappointed!

All of this inspires me to tackle "Laura's room" and transform it into the craft/scrapbooking room of my dreams. My goal would be to complete the room before the holidays, but by next Spring would be fine with me as well.
Dare I show you this room's current state? Dare I expose myself in this way? I might as well, it will serve to motivate me to take advantage of this room and really express myself in this space. Are you ready? Here she is:

This is 2 photos grouped to give you the complete fabulous view upon entering the room.

Here is the view from the front of the room. This room is full of boxes and bins which contain mostly 3 things:

1) scrapbooking supplies & photos,
2) family & kid memorabilia,
3) and a little bit of my thrifty finds.

Check out the lovliness of this desk top. Makes you oooh & aaah doesn't it?

Over the coming months I will update you on the progress of the sorting, organization, and decorating of this room.

Stay tuned & wish me luck!

I am linking up with Julia and her
Hooked on Fridays series. Go check it out!
